Preserved Plants
Discover how they maintain their beauty and significance over time.

The treatment process for preserving plants involves several carefully controlled steps designed to retain their natural appearance, texture, and flexibility while significantly extending their lifespan.
This preservation process replaces the plant's natural sap and moisture with a preservation solution, such as glycerin, which prevents wilting, decay, and discoloration.
Typical Treatment Process:
1. HARVESTING
Plants, flowers, or foliage are harvested at their peak freshness and beauty to ensure the best results. Selection focuses on specimens with vibrant colors, healthy leaves, and strong structures.
2. DEHYDRATION
Natural moisture is removed from the plants. This can be done using air-drying, pressing, or low-heat drying methods.
3. PRESERVATION SOLUTION
The plants are placed in a glycerin-based solution, often mixed with other additives like water and stabilizers. Glycerin replaces the plant's natural sap, keeping it supple and soft while preventing brittleness.
4. DYEING (OPTIONAL)
Natural pigments may fade during the preservation process, so non-toxic dyes are often used to restore or enhance colors. Plants are either soaked in dyed glycerin solutions or individually painted.
5. DRYING / CURING
Once fully preserved and dyed, the plants are gently dried to remove any excess solution. This step ensures that the plants are ready for handling and assembly.
